These detentions follow a probe into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the attack, two women were robbed of their luggage after getting out of a parking garage elevator.
A toddler aged three was one of the injured during the incident. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment and were later discharged.
Police arrested a man in his thirties for suspected robbery and assault near the location. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.
Police were alerted at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding several people injured by an irritating chemical thought to be an irritant spray.
The assault - an event that authorities stated was a standalone incident and not considered terrorism - caused delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park briefly.
